ROMGAZ Supports Endowment of the Iernut Volunteer Service in Emergency Situations

ROMGAZ provided financial support for the project “Endowment of the Iernut Volunteer Service in Emergency Situations with a Fire Fighting Engine”, initiated by the City of Iernut, County of Mureş. The Volunteer Service in Emergency Situations fulfils its legal duties in a sector of competences established with the agreement of the "Horea" Inspectorate for Emergency Situations of the County of Mureş. The sector of competences comprises, on a mandatory basis, the territory of the locality of Iernut.

The Volunteer Service in Emergency Situations is a specialized structure, with a specific endowment, subordinated to the local Council, aimed at providing activities of prevention, monitoring, and management of emergency situations within the sector of competence, ensuring specialized co-ordination of the fire-fighting and civil protection activities, performing the duties of preventing the emergency situation risks by guidance and control activities, intervening in due time with the aim of limiting or eliminating the consequences of emergency situations, and performing relief and rescue operations of humans and goods in case of disasters, by co-operation with the other structures empowered for such situations.
