ROMGAZ Supports Elderly People

ROMGAZ provided financial support for the project "Supporting the Activity of the Elderly People’s Home “Sfântul Mihail Mărturisitorul” of Mediaş", initiated by the Association “Sfântul Mihail Mărturisitorul”, County of Sibiu.

The scope of the Association “Sfântul Mihail Mărturisitorul” is to provide to semi-dependent and independent elderly people proper accommodation and food conditions, medical healthcare, socialization and leisure time activities, social assistance (i.e. social services). 

The home has 15 employees and a capacity of 42 residents. The beneficiaries are admitted to the home on their own request, or the request of their families, or the state community assistance institutions. A part of the elderly people is in good condition, with some degrees of independence and psychical health, but degenerative diseases develop over time for many of them.
