The first generation of "ROMGAZ Scholarships"

During the summer of 2021, ROMGAZ started to develop partnerships with Romanian universities specializing in energy. Within this project we identified students with outstanding academic results, young people with well-established career goals, who received financial support during their university studies. The aim of these scholarships was to prepare professionals in order to hire them within S.N.G.N. ROMGAZ S.A.

Between 2021 and the first part of 2025, four editions of “ROMGAZ Scholarship Program” have been held.

More than a monthly scholarship

• Internships  guided by tutors;
• Assistance in preparing thesis/dissertation;
• Professional and educational development opportunities in the field of energy;
• Scholarship in amount of RON 1500 per month until completion of studies;
• Possibility to be hired by the company.

ROMGAZ granted scholarships to 3rd and 4th year students and to master’s students studying the following specializations: 

• Hydrocarbon Transportation, Storage and Distribution
• Natural Gas Engineering and Management
• Geological Engineering
• Applied Geology
• Applied Geophysics
• Management of Energy
• Oil and Gas Engineering 

The beneficiaries of these scholarships were the undergraduate students and master’s students who became aware of the fact that getting these scholarships is a natural consequence of their education and involvement in the studies as well as a motivation to further improve their educational performance. 

Forty-five students and Master’s students have benefited from the four editions of  ROMGAZ Scholarship Program, and twenty-five of then, after successful graduation, have become our work colleagues.
