“Let Children Talk About Waste” - ROMGAZ supported Project

ROMGAZ provided financial support for the “Let Children Talk About Waste” Project, initiated by the Asociaţia de Bun Gust, county of Sibiu. “Let Children Talk About Waste” is intended for pupils in the last stage of primary education, which are increasingly receptive to environmental issues.

With the help of such pupils, by means of a public awareness campaign, the project aims to pass on messages on the importance of selective waste collection to the adult generation (parents and grandparents), which, sometimes, are more receptive to the messages of their own children, and grandchildren than those transmitted by traditional means.

Third and fourth grade pupils from five primary schools of Sibiu and one school of Mediaş (approximately one hundred pupils from each school) are going to participate in a series of events involving screening of documentary films on the importance of selective waste collection and impact of such on the environment. The representatives of ADI Eco Sibiu, and Soma (Operator of Collection and Transportation, and Management of Sorting Stations of Șura Mică and Cisnădie) will answer the questions raised by pupils on selective collection, together with the superheroes PETrică, Mărie-hârtie, BIOrel, Miticlă and Tanti Rezi.

All information transmitted to pupils, as well as other materials relevant for adults on such subject will be available to the general public through the web section specially created for that project.
