Financial support for „Securing performance in sports”, initiated by Hermannstadt Football Club Association

In 2023, ROMGAZ provided financial support for the project „Securing performance in sports”, initiated by Hermannstadt Football Club Association. The scope of the project is to ensure the conditions required to prepare and to participate in the competitions of 2022 - 2023 sports season to maintain performance and continuity on the first football scene of the country.

Hermannstadt Football Club Association includes all members, legal or natural persons, from Romania or from abroad, who can be associate members, contributing members and honorary members. Sibiu is on the Romanian football map through A.F.C. Hermannstadt. 

Since its foundation in 2015, the team was promoted every year, reaching after only 3 years the Romanian Cup final and it promoted to the Romanian first football league. At the end of the 2020-2021 edition, after 3 years in Romania's first football league, the team relegated, but with the intention of achieving a new unique act in the history of Romanian football, returning to League I the following year.
