ROMGAZ Supports the National Project “Romania in OECD”

ROMGAZ provided financial support for the National Project “Romania in OCED” (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development), initiated by the Association “The Mentoring Project” of Bucharest. The project included a series of steps to support, from a non-governmental area, the accession of Romania to OECD, and enhancement of the involved players’ commitment to the objectives agreed at governmental level.

The accession of Romania to OECD is one of the most important country objectives for Romania, after joining NATO and entering the European Union.

OECD is an intergovernmental organization with 38 member states, founded in 1961 to stimulate the economic progress and world trade. It is a platform to compare political experiences, seek solutions to common problems, identify best practices, and co-ordinate internal and international policies of its members. OECD is an official United Nations observer.
